NOT GUILTY: Murder (People v. M.O.)

M.O. was accused of being the ringleader of several defendants who killed the victim in retaliation for beating one of their friends. After the beating, several neighbors saw M.O. running from door to door, looking for the victim. Witnesses recognized M.O. by the large and distinctive gang tattoos on his face and neck.

Witnesses described M.O. as being loud and aggressive. Eventually M.O. and two others confronted the victim. One of the three told the victim to run. As the victim fled, one of the three shot him. The victim died within hours. M.O. and another defendant were charged as aiders and abettors to the murder. The jury found M.O. NOT GUILTY of all counts.
